Eleanor Yvonne Passage Richard T David (Deceased) 4381 Seeden Waterford, MI 248-674-3271 epassage@sbcglobal.net
I was married twice divorced from my first husband and widowed in 2005 when Richard died. Presently I attend OCC and plan to go to Italy to study glass fusing next year. My favorite pastime is working with glass! As long as I can remember Eleanor has been very modest about herself and her talents. So I am taking liberty to share her talent with you, because her creations are exquisite! Eleanor creates free-form glass pieces. Glass sculptures, glass painting and landscapes and jewelry using fused glass as focal points. She uses fused glass with beads and semi precious stone beads and shapes in her creations. Eleanor has been busy creating her art for five years. Up to now she has entered pieces in competition, but she has not sold them because of material costs and the length of time it takes to create the pieces. One necklace can take a full month of eight to 12 hours of work per day. Well-known artists have requested her work for showings in New York City. At the moment she is creating a new body of work to be shown and sold in galleries. Eleanor takes classes at OCC and Corning Museum of Glass and hopes to study at the Center of Creative Studies. I hope you were able to see jewelry creations that she wore at the reunion. Unbelievable!

Early years were spent in Michigan, and fairly typical. As we graduated from high school and began to move on with our lives in the fall of 1978. My children, young adolescents at the time and I relocated to the southwest, making our home in Scottsdale, Arizona. The next decade or so was a good and challenging time, while raising my family as a single mom and seeing them mature and settle into their own lifestyles. Lori, Kevin and Mike have their homes here in the Valley of the Sun. I've maintained an Arizona real estate license and appraisal certification for a number of years. Real estate appraising has been my career for the past 30 years, and I hope to continue for several more. I've had more time during the past 10 years for travel and enjoyed several trips to Europe, visiting major cities and seen sites in wonderful countries Hopefully the classmates of 1956, will continue to enjoy good health for years to come.

Later four other salad dressings were developed under the label, Hot Rod Bob's. (the logo is a 1957 red Chevy and crossed checkerboard flags). Balsamic Italian, Suzy Q. I am still working at Sheldon Pontiac Buick GMC and Joelma is also working so our free time is somewhat limited. We go to the Melbourne Florida area in our fifth wheel and 'beeg' truck. And usually stay at Jetty Park in Port Canaveral, while visiting our son, Mark and his family. We often take a week vacation at Traverse City, during cherry festival time. All bets are off for that week in 2007, though Grams and Gramps are booked on a Hawaiian cruise in late February. We'll see what kind of change is left after that little cruise. We do camp and travel with some of the kids that are nearby for long weekends etc. The little ones love it, because Gramps is a real soft touch. I know some of you will have a hard time believing that based on some previous history. I have a great life, great wife, lots of grandkids. It's a wonderful thing.

“Of the numerous, incredible indelible impressions I accumulated at the "Fabulous Fifty-Sixth," perhaps one stood out, above all others in terms of its expression of what the event was all about. Six of us were standing at the back of the room awaiting a dinner and introducing one another. One classmate introduced himself and said, "Oh, you won't remember me because I kind of stayed in the background while I was at Waterford High. Speaking for the others, I replied, “My friend, you are a member of a very exclusive group. There is only one WTHS Class of 1956, and you are a unique and valued member of a group that is actually very inclusive. Look at how many people here are hugging classmates they never really knew until this event.”

Just a note to let you know that I’m really impressed by the way you and the group have organized this reunion. I’m just sorry I couldn’t attend. I’ve been in California pretty much since we got out of school except for the three years in the Army which included a year in Korea. I’m still working. I'm currently with Northrop Grumman Corporation in my 18th year. I’ve been in the Procurement Field since I got out of the army back in January of 1964. I was amazed and very happy to see that some of our classmates who were 'an item' in school are still together like Bob Coonfield and Patty O’Brien. Now that was a match made in heaven. Hope you and your family are doing well. I never married. I guess I was never meant to set down roots. Well, I hope you give my best to all of our fellow classmates and that I’ll be thinking of all of you during the Reunion Weekend. With Warmest Regard, Don Liddy

Married in December 1956 to Jack Price, 4 children. Two died early and Colleen, the oldest, in 2001. I have one daughter, Lauree, living and she lives in Coeburn, Virginia on top of a mountain. We moved to California in 1968 and Jack died in California. I married Bob Brian in 1970. He had the Corner Barber Shop at Scott Lk and Pontiac Lk Rd. At that time he had two boys and I had two girls. After two or three years of living in Michigan, We moved to Deming, New Mexico and lived there until 1977. At that time, we moved to North Carolina on part of the family property. We have lived several places intermittently including South Carolina, Florida and Oklahoma but still had the North Carolina residence. Bob had the Tryon Barber Shop until 2006 when he broke his ankle in three places. I am a real estate broker but due to raising grandkids, mom and dad Brian and other things, I closed my office and only work independent. For the last 15 years, I have been teaching water aerobics, lifeguarding, etc., part-time at the local community college. Allen Martini's mother and dad were a great influence in my life as my sister took lifeguarding at Martini's Beach and I thought that was the greatest thing ever. I didn't know people could actually live on the water at that time. My parents moved to Michigan from a farm in Indiana to make a better life for seven children. I was the youngest. My sister, Thelma, was 14 months older than me and died in a car accident shortly after graduating. Wilma Ice is my niece even though she is older. By the way, I may be opening up another real estate office. Not sure at this point due to Bob's stroke. Thanks again for being so thoughtful.
