Attire
Resort casual. This means tropical shirts and shorts, sandals and shades! You may win a prize for the best shirt
Saturday evening....so jump into the spirit of this event!
Please! - no blue jeans Saturday evening.
Hotel
We are at the Best Western ConCorde Inn, located on M-59 just west of the old Pontiac Airport in Waterford.
(For those of you who have been away a while, this airport has gone big time and is now called the Oakland County International Airport. Unfortunately for us, still no commercial passenger flights as yet!)
Make your reservation directly with the hotel, and be sure to indicate you
are with the WKHS-Class of '65 for discounted rates. The hotel has an indoor pool, health fitness center, and standard, Jacuzzi and full suite rooms. Their lounge area provides ongoing coffee and full continental
breakfast to guests. They are happy to shuttle guests to nearby attractions.
Best Western ConCorde Inn (248) 666-8555
Speaking of airports.... you may want to try to come into the Bishop International Airport (just outside Flint), rather then Detroit Metro. It is a breeze to
use, and only about 25 minutes north of Waterford, as opposed to almost an hour south. The facility is very handy and small and great to deal with! If you need to be picked up, let us know and we might be able to
accommodate you!
Memory Photo Book
A professional photographer will be 'sailing' with us Saturday evening to
take portrait quality photos of each guest. There is no obligation to purchase, however all guests will be included in this book and we ask all to participate.
Golfers
Can't give up your weekend and/or shopping? Did you know that Michigan offers the best world-class golf courses in the country? Many such courses are
within 15 minutes of the hotel and shore excursion shuttle (compliments of the Inn). Be sure to check the box on RSVP form and we will plan an outing for you.
Shoppers
A new major outlet mall is only 20 minutes away, and has everything you'd want - and at great prices.
