The date has been set for the 3rd Annual Waterfordian Florida Get Together Type of Thingie aka Florida Thingie III.  Our goal is that we get together with our friends, new and old.  We are hoping that a couple of hundred others come to watch!  In the next few days we will be "hitting the airways" and going to the village crossroads to bring in as many of the Waterfordians as we can find to join us. We will  again be at the Inlet Harbor Restaurant in Ponce Inlet, Fl.  They
have treated us great the last couple years and the location, so far, has been perfect.  We feel that we can fill the place up if we can just get all of JBs old girlfriends to show up. You are all WTHS, WKHS or WMHS people and I want to start by inviting each and every member of this group. We want you to pass it along to all of your Waterford friends. As always there will be no RSVP needed and certainly no upfront money (however, we would like an idea of who is
coming so we can forewarn the restaurant with a little accuracy and maybe have some personalized goodies) so just ink it in on your calendar and BE THERE.  We will be getting out a little more formal invites and "advertisements" real soon with The Other Mike's help, the black books....er, uh, I mean.....blue books of Glenn and Oliver and the persistance of Bradsher.  I am excited.

The March 28th Grouper...Thingie
Let me jump on the bandwagon of saying what a great time Lisa and I
had yesterday at JBs (without our own personal JB).  As I sat there I
looked around the table and not one was a "friend" prior to
Classmates/Yahoo.  Each and everyone at the table was not known to me
before 4 or 5 years ago except for Bradsher and I only knew him from
sight as we didn't hang out in our school years. What a blessing
this has been. Here I sat with great friends and I would not have
any of them without this fellowship that has been created. I joke
and kid a lot when with the group but I can't express how blessed I
am to have a group like that around me.  The Other Mike and Oliver
showered us with pins, CDs and pictures....without a need for a thank
you or compensation. It was almost overwhelming at the time to come
up with any proper thing to say that would express our gratitude.
And Phil, what can I say.  Sheesh, it was the first time that I
have "officially" met him and Jane and he greeted me with Saunders, a
Pete's Coney Island menu, PCI hot dogs, PCI hot dog sauce, elk (sorry
Butch) and a t-shirt from the Kennedy Thingie. You can't trade that
for anything.  I felt low and ashamed because I didn't think to bring
Michigan pilgrims some Hawaiian Tropic suntan stuff....bad Don, bad
bad Don! We make fun of Bradsher being the "coupon man" but he
probably saved the table about $50 when you consider Phil's family
also used them.  I'm using the money that I saved to buy some Martha
Stewart towels at Kmart. Dr. Briggs brought his great conversation
and humor that was sorely missed at the October Thingie. It was
truly a fantastic afternoon.....in spite of Glenn eating onions. I
look forward to our next meeting.

Let us know if you can make it so we can plan on a certain amount of space for the skinny ones as well as the well fed Classmates, Friends and Alumni.
