Just a few clips down the memory lane of music. Just tinkering but it is getting more interesting all the time. Music is the key to open all those warm and tender magic moments of the good ole’ daze. A few of the tunes, are right from my record collection, so for awhile will be a little scratchy until I fine tune them and get rid of the noise. So don’t get scared and think your computer is acting up...

Now this is where I can easily zone out, listening to tunes, good ole’ fashioned
tunes from the 50’s and 60’s.
The tunes in my record collection bring back those special moments, and those memories that will linger forever and ever.

A favorite of mine is the first one (another sleepless night) and maybe others can relate to it, but it opens up a whole can full of memories when I listen to it and think of the Michigan Girl. Same goes with the tunes by the Shirelles and the Fleetwoods.

The one by the Bee Gee’s is a Butch Trager, trigger to some of his memories. A tune that sums it all for us is the one by Gilda Radner, we have all been there and have those memories tucked away. Those definitely were the days.

I think the slower tunes can all be considered ‘belly to belly’ tunes as Butch likes to describe them. Or as Kookie used to describe slow dancing, “ Kookie, Kookie, is that your comb?. Yup those were the daze.

The words of a song make it work too.
These lyrics were especially meaningful at the time any way.

Last Song ( Edward Bear )

Did you know I'd go to sleep and leave the lights on?
Hopin' you'd come by and know that I was home and still awake.
But two years go by and still my lights on
This is hard for me to say but this is all that I can say...

It's the last song I'll ever write for you
It's the last time that I'll tell you just how much I really care
This is the last song I'll ever sing for you
You come looking for the light and it won't be there
But I love you, oh, yes I do, yes I do

All the times that I've spent waiting wondering where you are
Always knew the time would come when I would start to wonder why
Now the time is here, I don't know where you are
So I'll write you one more song but it's the last time that I'll try

It's the last song I'll ever write for you
It's the last time that I'll tell you just how much I really care
This is the last song I'll ever sing for you
You come looking for the light and it won't be there
But I love you, oh, yes I do, mmm mmm

Memories are Music of the Night...
